GLS University
Founded in 1927, Gujarat Law Society (GLS) is one of the most prominent and long-standing educational
institutions in Gujarat. It was established by distinguished figures including Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel,
Shri Ganesh Mavlankar, the nation's first Speaker, and Shri I.M. Nanavati, with a commitment to educational excellence.
GLS has been a trailblazer from the start, offering a diverse range of programs in fields such as Business Management,
Computer Science, Engineering, and Applications, Commerce, Business Administration, Education, Law, and Humanities. The courses provided by GLS are
highly regarded, both among students and within the corporate sector.
FCAIT
GLS University, through its Faculty of Computer Applications and Information Technology, offers a range of programs
including BCA, BCA (Honors), MCA, M.Sc. IT, and the Integrated M.Sc. IT. The BCA and MCA programs were launched in 1999 with the mission to nurture the IT professionals of the future.
All programs under this faculty are delivered using Open Source platforms, ensuring a modern and relevant education.
The department boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure, featuring well-equipped computer labs. In 2016, GLSU introduced a
new five-year Integrated M.Sc. IT program, further expanding its academic offerings.
FET
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) offers a four-year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)
program in Computer Engineering. This program is designed to equip students with a strong foundation
in computer science, preparing them to excel as innovators in the field. Graduates will be adept at
developing cutting-edge applications for smartphones, designing intelligent systems like robots, and
addressing complex computational challenges. The course is tailored for inquisitive minds, fostering
proficiency in analyzing and resolving real-world engineering problems through advanced computational
techniques and scientific methodologies.
